How To Wear High Waisted Cargo Pants?
Hello my dears,
Today I prepared only a short post, because I'm quite busy with a new job. The good thing is, that I really love this job and I’m so happy that I got it. It's a production of a Swedish series, we're going to shoot here in Gran Canaria in the next three months. That's why I have a little bad-hair-day, because during the preparation days of this shooting I have absolutely no time to style myself. For sure, many fashion stylists or costume designer know that situation. ;-))
But I think it shouldn't bother you, because today it's not about hairstyle, but about how to wear the cargo pants in a suitable way.
Stay tuned, if you always wanted to try out the cargo pants.
Since about 2017 the cargo pants are slowly coming into our wardrobes and I think that this trend will be a big hit in 2019. These trousers were originally inspired by the British Armed Forces uniform of the 1930s. Therefore these pant shouldn’t be fashionable but comfortable and useful.
Although these cargo pants weren't supposed for fashion, they arrived the fashion world as a “Must Have” in 2019. Normally very useful and comfortable to wear, these trousers can be difficult to style. That’s why I've put together this simple and easy outfit. Actually, I have never found these pants so suitable for me as they shortened my legs and makes me look a little unfavorable. But the current high-waist cut prevents shortening the legs. Because the natural waistline has been shifted a bit upwards, so the legs might appear a longer.
That’s why I wanted to give them a try. I bought these pair of cargo pants in Stradivarius with the intention of just trying them on at home and see if they suit me. After the fitting at home I was quite happy with the pants and they fit perfectly to my cropped Nike sweater. I rally like this comfy and sporty outfit. Besides the chain on the pants gives this complete look a special touch and by wearing my black and white checked slip-on's from Vans even more. In my opinion the shoes fit perfectly to the Cargo-Pants-Style.
But there are a lot of ways to style cargo’s. The most obvious way is to go back to their roots, cargo pants in camouflage with combat boots or team your cargo pants with your favorite bomber jacket and add some peep toe heels. You see…!? Everything is possible. You can even wear cargo’s to the office, paired with stilettos and a slim fit blazer to let the minions know you mean business.
For my last tip you should be a little bit more daring and embrace your inner 90’s child with throwback vibes. Wear your cargo’s cuffed or wide leg, and team with your tightest crop. Extra points for cat eye glasses, neon accessories and chokers.
Now you’ve got a lot of styling tips. So get your cargo’s and rock the style!!!
