OOTD Of My Funny Vintage Sweater To Maintain A Little Normality
As I promised you today I'm going to share a very simple OOTD of my funny vintage sweater, which you should already know from my previous post “When was the last time you felt happy”
I really believe to maintain a little normality in this crazy world could be quite helpful. Because it feels like an old and well-known thing and it brings back a touch of security or at least the feeling of security.
Don't you also think it's good to have a little normality and banality in that current situation?
Well, actually everyone deals differently with this situation. Whether to experience profound, important and substantial things or just return to normality as quickly as possible, like to do something banal. Everyone should decide for themselves what is best. So for those who miss a little bit of normality, banal things and maybe are interested in a little bit of slow fashion or vintage fashion, here comes my OOTD with my funny vintage sweater.
Wouldn't it be nice if we suddenly wake up and realize that we should all take a step back and some of us maybe are willing to change their fashion habits to something more sustainable. So at least these crazy times would have a good impact.
Every little step towards to a little more sustainability in life helps to get back on track at some point.
That's why I'm here to show you how you can extend the life cycle of garments a little bit longer instead of always buying new clothes. Especially since the latest fashion trends are being repeated from the 80s/90s/2000s anyway.
But, of course, I would also like to mention that it doesn’t mean that you are not allowed to buy anything new. Of course you still can buy new clothes. But in my opinion we should think about twice, if it’s necessary.
An example, I recently bought these pair of jeans and I unfortunately bought them at a slow fashion label. The thing was that I really needed a new pair of jeans, because my other ones were all pretty worn out. Actually I wanted to buy an organics jeans, which I already ordered from a slow fashion label. They offers super nice and quite fashionable organics jeans. But unfortunately the order was cancelled, because they don't deliver to the Canary Islands. What I think it’s also ok, because the shipment also cause CO2 emission. Well, in any case I had to decide with a heavy heart that I’m going to buy a pair of jeans here. So I went to the next shopping center.
I always liked the jeans from Stradivarius, so I went to Stradivarius and chose these pair of denim. The cut is called "Slouchy". It’s a mixture of mum and boyfriend fit.
I think the cut of the pants fit perfectly to my vintage sweater, which I have combined together. The sweater has a tracksuit kinda style, with the typical short zipper to open the collar. The sweater is made of light cotton and the colorful fabric is made of panne velvet in sunflower pattern. I decided to close the zipper completely. To emphasize the cut of the pants I did a lateral half-tuck. So the pleats of the waistband appear.
I love the woolen beanie, It’s my best friend when I have a bad hair day. When I first tried the beanie I was surprised that the color suits me somehow. From that day on, I wear it very often. I got it from the Label “Passenger Clothing”, where I usually like to order some of my clothes. Its clothes are designed for outdoor travels, so that you can embrace the journeys to come and leave only the smallest footprints. For every order they plant a tree. That’s why I love it!!!
Oh yes, and I almost forgot, the slides are from my Wardrobe Rental “Canary Islands Wardrobe Rental”, which we used in one of the last shootings. So it’s also not only used once. When I disinfect them well, I hope I can still rent them after the Corona crises.
All right, enough of my OOTD. I already talked enough about it. But anyway, I hope you enjoyed it and I could take you away a little bit from the “Corona” everyday life”.
