New OOTD and why I love to capture my outfits in the nature? Gran Canaria

I was so happy! Finally I could take some pictures outdoor in my beloved nature. Shortly after our lockdown was lifted, I met with Lea the daughter of a friend of mine, cause we would like to take some pictures of each other. It’s always more fun together than alone. That’s why as soon as we could stay outside we made a date for an evening session. We drove to the small village Juan Grande. Because next to Juan Grande you find an area with a lot of golden or brown, depends of the light, grasses and bushes directly at the shore of the Atlantic. Actually I had the plan to capture some backlight shots at sunset. Cause I expected that this area would be a super nice location for that typical golden backlight shots. But due to the weather, which was extremely cloudy and even a little rainy on that day, the location looked different than I thought. So it meant no sunset, no golden light and therefore no back light photos. But we made the best out of it and despite we had a lot of fun. We laughed so much and had a good chat. Even though we are not photographers we captured some nice shots. Lea for example took pictures with my camera for the first time and in my opinion they are super cool. I really like them. Also when I checked the photos afterwards, I recognized, that despite the cloudy day, we hat a kind of beautiful defused evening light .

During lockdowns I always did OOTD'S in my workshop, where I set up a small photo wall. Of course I soon realized that these motives are quite limited and therefore I couldn’t be so creative. You can recognize that the photos taken indoors they don’t that certain touch of freedom and cheerfulness. But when I look at these photos, I have the feeling that the freedom, joy and happiness are reflected equally in the face and attitude. At this point I would like to thank Lea so much for that super nice and amusing evening.

I believe, that due to the circumstance, being locked inside the house and finally allowed to stay outdoors, not only the two of us, are now more grateful for things they are normally a matter of course, it makes a difference in all of us.

For this little private photo shooting I tried to combine a slow fashion outfit, which I have in my wardrobe for some time. So they are all already existing clothes. Except the handbag.

The ripped top under the open shirt is from the label “Two Thirds” Since I purchased it over a year ago, it’s unfortunately out of stock. But I still would like to recommend this label. Because all garments are made from sustainable fabrics and sometimes partly from recycled polyester. I love this brand because they not only create sustainably but also fashionable and timeless garments.

The shirt I put over the top because of a little bit chilly temperatures I purchased at Stradivarius, some months ago. It’s a timeless piece which I gonna wear for years. It’s super easy to combine, you can wear it to every kind of garments and style.

The denim shorts I have for so many years. that I even don’t know when I got it, is in the summer time one of my most worn clothes.

Many years ago in South Africa I found that light lilac colored Vans. I fell in love with them immediately and since than they are an integral part of my everyday outfits.

Since I’ve been everyday on the move with my backpack for several months, which I’m very happy with, I needed to have smaller everyday handbag for the summer. So I purchased this bag from Mango. It’s the only thing I got new and I must say I love this timeless design so that this handbag will decorate my looks for many summer sessions for sure.

I hope you are all well and you had fun with my new OOTD happily captured in the nature.

I’m looking forward to repeat it.

Stay healthy and take care of yourself. Wear masks, keep the necessary decency and don’t take everything too easy. We shouldn’t become careless and forget that we are still living in a time where not everything is taken for granted. Therefore we should enjoy every moment and learn to appreciate the little things.

Have a lovely day,

Katy!
