My First Quarantine Outfit
I still have three quarantine outfits I finally would like to show you. All outfit are combined of garments that I have owned for a long time.
So, here we go. My first quarantine outfit is ideal for the late summer days, when it gets warm again in September but the evenings are already a bit fresh.
I wore a camel-coloured oversized sweater from passenger clothing. Since the sweeter is already a year old it’s unfortunately out of stock. The color is dyed as vintage wash it means the colors is getting better by the age. I really like this easy wearing comfort no matter where I go, for shopping during lockdown or during our outdoor travels. The fit, even if it’s oversized, is not too slim and not too loose.
To the sweater I combined a more than two years old shorts from Stradivarius, which you already saw in one of my old post in 2018, for example in “How To Make The Real Moroccan Mint Tea”.
I still like the print, the light fabrics and the cut. Especially the high-waist - paper-bag cut is as trendy as always.
In the front I tucked the sweater inside the shorts, to show the tie belt in the same fabric of the shorts because through the shirring of the elastic waistband and the tie bow of the belt I can perfectly cover my little quarantine belly… ;-)
As jewelry I combined a necklace with tiny beads in the colors of brown-beige-olive to stay in the color scheme. As I did as well with shoes and bag. The bag is great for every occasion. I’m gonna use it for grocery shopping, walking with the dog and also for the beach. Certainly it’s not the one for an evening event. Anyhow due to Corona at the moment we are skipping that occasions.
Actually the shoes are not my fav ones. But they fit perfectly to the outfit and to the color scheme. They are the only ones I ordered online at Stradivarius during the lockdown and I only put them on at home for these outfit pics, just to try how they look like. Unfortunately it’s not my style. Thats why I returned them immediately and I put on my old pair of green Nike Sneaker, which also fit good. I would like to show you these shoes anyway. Maybe you like them.
So that’s it once again. Hope you like my quarantine outfit and and I hope you don't mind that I don’t use any new clothes from the latest collections, but just some of my old clothes that I have owned for years. I just want to show you that it also works without always having to buy something new. If you combine your garments the right way, everything is possible.
I think we all want to live a more sustainable life, don't we?
So we could easily do something sustainable by wearing your clothes as long as possible and not always buying new stuff, which is good for your wallet and the environment. That doesn't mean that I don't buy new clothes anymore. Of course I buy something new, but in moderated way.
Have a nice weekend!
Love,
Katy
