How To Style Cropped Sweater - Winter Essential 2018
When the cold weather creeps in and the sweater season begins, there's no more flattering item to style up than a cropped sweater. To show you how to style a cropped sweater, which is for me a winter essential 2018, in a suitable and fashionable way, I’ve rounded up 3 looks, all worn with cropped sweater.
Believe me, the cropped sweater can be styled in more ways because of their shorter hemlines. The detail may sound small, but the impact for winter wardrobe could be big. You will see!
Keep reading to check out how I combined my first winter look with this chunky cropped sweater.
By the way, these are the first pics of my new short hair. Yes, I did it! I cut my hair. And I must say I love it. I was in the mood for a total hair makeover and there’s nothing like the feeling of cutting off your hair. But it’s not just the feeling of a fresh and new hair cut, it’s the way it looks afterwards, like gorgeous, gamine, and always on-trend. Personally, I love having my hair short, as you can see on the pics. Big Thanks to Tom from FRDK Hair Salon.
Well, let’s go back to the Outfit details.
Paired with a high-waisted skinny jeans a cropped sweater is a great way to give your winter outfit a little sex appeal and it’s a perfect balance when you are worried about baring too much but still want to show a little skin. I love this chunky sweater because of its wonderful autumnal color, the interesting texture of the fabric and the shape of the sleeves. High waisted skinny jeans with cropped sweater is a perfect cozy combo for the holidays!
Best part is, recently I found out that high waisted jeans hide my little belly and let me look more favorable. That’s why I chose these pair of high waisted skinny jeans and I’ve been wearing them many days and nights. They go so well with all kind of styles. You just need to find the perfect-fitting pair and then style your jeans the right way to balance your proportions, so you can flaunt your style and confidently show off your body.
As I’ve mentioned a lot of times I love to wear ankle boots. They’re warm, they’re comfy, and they just look so cool. Among all types of shoes, combat boots are probably the most versatile ones, as they go with everything, from grunge and punk-inspired styles, to more bon ton-infused looks. In the 90ties I already had a pair of combat boots and I styled them a million different ways. I wore them with feminine dresses to tough up the look or with an all-black ensemble to make me look motorcycle-chic. Pairing them with contrasting patterns, materials, or colors is always a good idea.
As accessories I chose a black faux shearling tote bag and a golden choker with big stones in autumnal colores.
If you like to take part in the cropped sweater trend without showing any skin at all? You can also style it with a button-down shirt underneath. Flat abs or not, anyone can pull off this chic look.
I hope these tips will help you to feel a little more confident about trying out the cropped sweater trend. Are you going to try this daring style?
Let me know in the comments!
Hope you guys all had a great weekend. Can you believe it’s almost December!?
Love
Katy
