This Coastal Heaven Will Help You To Slow Down
It's time for another post from my South Africa/Cape Town travel diary. I just call it “diary” because I would like to write about our trip like a diary. In one of my previous posts (What we stumbled across when we woke up the next morning after we arrived in Cape Town) about our first day in Scarborough in the south of Cape Town, I already told you that we wanted to explore the beach, which is directly in Scarborough. As beach - and ocean lovers we couldn't skip it. Especially as there was a beautiful little wave. On this trip my husband brought a drone. So the next two days I could chill a little on the beach to unwind and he could start some little flights with his drone on the beach.
Check out the beautiful drone pics he took during its flights. I would call this place “Coastal Heaven”.
Scarborough is such a nice place to slow down. For us it was just perfect, after a busy and speedy year. Because in the most film productions everything has to be done quicker, more efficient and more productive. It puts me so much under pressure, that I always need some days to calm and slow down.
The thing is that rushing makes us stressed, causes us to overlook important details of our lives, fuels egocentrism and doesn’t help us do things better. If anything, it only increases the chances of being more stressed and affected negatively the people around us.
I definitely needed urgently a sedative. Just a taste of something slow to calm me down and bring me back to a more human state of mind.
It’s so important to stop rushing, because when you slow down, you enjoy life more. Things are more interesting. You worry less. You care for others more. You make fewer mistakes because you’re more focused.
That’s why I would like to share these drone shots. Maybe they will help you to calm down while watching.
Check out the pics, enjoy and stop rushing and S.L.O.W. down.
PS: Sorry, finally this post didn’t become a travel diary post. Since I'm on a big film production right now, where I'm already stressed even before the shooting started, I was probably too focused on the topic “slowing down”. ;-)
Love,
Katy
