Layered Slip Dress Vibe For This Road Trip Weekend Into The Mountains - Gran Canaria
Today I have a little updte from me.
I'm on Lanzarote since Wednesday, where I work for a German movie as a set costumer.
Today and yesterday we all had a day off. So yesterday I went hiking with a colleague and today I use the day off to write you this post. But later I will take a walk on the beach, which is right next to my temporary home.
It’s a pity that I can not be with my loved ones for today's Valentine's day. But actually, for me, it doesn't need a specified day to show and tell our dear ones that we love them. In fact, every day we should not only show that we love them, but also treat them with respect and support them.
All the more, I’m sorry to leave my husband alone at home without my support. While he also has to prepare a production by himself, he has to take care of our dog and run the household. At the same time he has to prepare the homologation of "Lenny The Overlander". Which takes a lot of time. I feel a little guilty leaving him with so many things. Otherwise, he was always the one who worked in other places, and I stayed at home. Now it's the other way around, so it's hard for me to get used to it.
Actually, we had planned that I would come home for the weekend and my husband would visit me with our dog and Lenny. But that is due to the Corona situation not possible. Because right now we always have to make a PCR test for the departure and arrival on Lanzarote. Which is quite expensive to make two tests for only one weekend. But maybe we gonna find a possibility in the following weeks.
The thing is, that this job is quite important for me. Because after 2020, which was for both of us not the best year work-wise, we should take every chance we can get. This film-production is a 4-5 week shoot where many well-known German actors participate and also a big film production company works behind it. So it’s a very good reference for me. Therefore I didn’t want to miss that opportunity, although I’m already a little homesick.
Especially when I see these beautiful photos of our beautiful island Gran Canaria. I miss it so much to be with our “Lenny The Overlander” on the move in that awesome nature. These shots were taken on one of our weekend trips into the mountains of Gran Canaria. We used that beautiful evening light, which we always have some minutes right before sundown.
I wore a self-sewn slip dress made of a very comfortable white cotton-viscose fabrics. Layered with my also self-made top, which is actually a wrapped trop from my jumpsuit set, I already showed you some weeks before. Check HERE.
In addition, I have worn once again my old school Vans in gray color.
I hope you like it. I was super happy with this outfit, especially as I only brought 1 pair of short pants, 1 wrapped tops, 1 tee, 1 dress and 1 pair of sneakers for this whole weekend trip. With those 5 items I could combine 3 different outfits. Because it’s important for this kind of travel, the less clothes the better. With just one more pair of pants. I could create 2-3 more outfits. You only need to find the pieces that are all combinable with each other.
Exactly this effective assembling of clothes I would like to show you soon by these three outfits, which I will demonstrate you lying next to each other.
